Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

Last Updated: October 16, 2025

This Refund Policy (the “Policy”) applies to all plumbing services, service contracts, and payments made to Anchorpoint Plumbing Solutions LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) by customers located in Maryland (“you,” “your”). By hiring our services or paying for any work, you agree to the terms set forth in this Policy.

1. Disclosure Requirement

Under Maryland state regulations, any refund or return policy (including a “no refunds” policy) must be disclosed in writing to consumers—either via the sales contract, a conspicuous sign, or some form clearly visible at the time of sale. Justia+1
We make this Policy available to all customers before services commence.

2. Refunds on Standard Services

  • Prepayment / Deposit: If you prepay or pay a deposit for services not yet rendered, and you cancel prior to work start (see section 4 below), we will issue a refund of the unused portion (less any non-refundable administrative costs, if disclosed) within a reasonable time, generally within 14 business days of cancellation.

  • Completed Work / Services Rendered: Once we start performing the work (or complete the work), refunds are generally not available, except in limited circumstances (e.g. defective workmanship, failure to perform as agreed).

  • Materials & Equipment: If materials or parts were purchased specifically for your job (i.e. custom orders), those items may not be refundable unless specified.

3. Refunds for Defective or Improper Work

Even if our standard refund policy would not allow for refunds, you retain your rights under Maryland’s consumer protection laws:

  • If work is defective, not performed as agreed, or violates implied warranties, you may be entitled to remedies such as repair, replacement, or refund.

  • In those cases, we will assess and, where valid, issue a partial or full refund (or credit) for the defective portion of the work.

  • Any deduction for use, wear, or other damage caused by misuse or modification will be factored in.

4. Right to Cancel / Cooling-Off Period

  • For certain contracts made under the Maryland Door-to-Door Sales Act or involving home solicitation, you may have a three (3) business day right to cancel without penalty. dsa.org+1

  • To exercise that right, you must provide written notice of cancellation to us by midnight on the third business day following the date of the agreement.

  • If you properly cancel, we will refund all payments made (less any minor costs permitted by law) within 10 business days after receiving your notice.

  • This cancellation right does not apply to all plumbing contracts by default. It is only triggered in the situations specified by law (e.g. unsolicited home solicitation).

5. Service Contracts & Maintenance Agreements

If you purchase a service contract or maintenance agreement:

  • You may cancel the contract within a stipulated period (if the contract so allows).

  • If canceled and no claim has been made under the contract, you are entitled to a full refund of amounts paid. Justia Law

  • The refund to your account must be paid or credited within 45 days after cancellation. Justia Law

  • Failure to issue refund timely may require payment of additional penalties under Maryland law. Justia Law

6. How to Request a Refund / Cancellation

To request a refund or cancellation:

  1. Submit a written request via email, mail, or in person, including your name, address, contract or job reference, amount paid, and reason for refund.

  2. Provide any supporting documentation, such as invoices, photographs of defects, or service reports.

  3. Allow us a reasonable time (generally up to 30 days) to respond, inspect, and resolve.

  4. If approved, we will issue the refund via the original payment method or as credit, as appropriate.

7. Deductions, Fees, and Withholding

  • If you cancel after work has begun, we may deduct reasonable costs incurred (labor, materials, parts already used) from any refundable amounts, provided such deductions were disclosed in writing prior to service.

  • We do not charge hidden or surprise cancellation fees, and any restocking or administrative fees must be disclosed in advance.

  • We will not withhold refunds arbitrarily; any withheld amounts must directly reflect actual, reasonable costs incurred prior to cancellation or replacement efforts.

8. Timeliness of Refunds

We aim to issue valid refunds within 14 business days of approval or cancellation (unless a law requires a longer period, such as service contracts).
If we fail to do so, additional statutory penalties may apply.

9. No Waiver of Legal Rights

This Policy does not waive any rights you may have under applicable federal or Maryland consumer protection laws, including the Maryland Consumer Protection Act and implied warranties. DigitalCommons@UM Carey Law+2Maryland Attorney General+2

10. Changes to Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect changes. Any modifications will not apply retroactively to previously completed work.
